Endodontic Specialty Group is proud to be home to 3 highly qualified endodontists. Dr. Lionel Lenkinski, Dr. Mary Tam and Dr. Ramitpal Khurana bring a range of skills and expertise to our patients in Etobicoke, Toronto and throughout Ontario!
Dr. Lionel Lenkinski
Dr. Lionel Lenkinski graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry in 1979. He then completed a general practice residency at University Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. He took his specialty training in endodontics at Boston University, Goldman School of Graduate Dentistry in Boston, Massachusetts, which he completed in 1982.
Lionel has been president of the West Toronto Dental Society, Ontario Society of Endodontists, the Ontario Association of Dental Specialists, and served as the director of the Ontario Dental Association for 6 years.
He has taught at the faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto, helping train dentists, endodontists and providing continuing education to other dentists. He speaks regularly in continuing education programs, currently on the subject of risk management and regulatory compliance.
Lionel is also a founding member and past-president of the Canadian Dental Protective Association and is currently a consultant to them and to the legal profession on risk management and standards of care issues.
Lionel is an avid musician who plays three instruments and enjoys live music. He completed the culinary arts program at George Brown College, and in addition to enjoying a good dinner out, he likes to cook for his family and friends.
Dr. Mary Tam
Dr. Mary Tam graduated from the School of Dentistry at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio in 2001. She then received a Master of Science degree while completing her specialty training in endodontics at the State University of New York at Buffalo in 2003.
Following the successful completion of the National Dental Specialty Examination in 2003, Mary was conferred a Fellowship in Endodontics with the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. She has been practicing at Endodontic Specialty Group since her graduation.
Dr. Ramitpal Khurana
Dr. Ramitpal Khurana graduated from Manipal University, India with a BDS in 1999. He gained clinical and academic experience for almost 4 years in India before moving to Canada in 2003. In Canada, Ramitpal graduated from University of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC with a DMD in 2008. He practiced general dentistry for 5 years in the Greater Toronto Area, during which he took various continuing education courses in restorative and implant dentistry, which helped him become proficient in all aspects of general dentistry.
His desire to seek further education and acquire new skills took him to Boston University’s Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, where he completed his endodontic training in 2015. Ramitpal successfully completed the National Dental Specialty Examination and received his Fellowship with the Royal College of Dentists of Canada in 2015.
